It's not elaborate, it's OE style; similar the first of VW's electronic ignition systems.This will work in any 12 voit with air cooled engine but will not directly replace system wiith idle stabilizer unless you ... splice? Might be possible. May also fit 79 bus with splicing. Set the timing at ten degrees before top dead center. If you use this non retard vacuumuniton a fuel injected car with vacuum retard you willl have to solderthe hole on the flap in throttle body to set the idle speed to the correct rpm. If you don't do this you will end up with a very high idle. Soldering is not an option for dual port stock carbs. Brazilianwill alow for properidle setting, Germa will not.. There's more to know . ..There are no cut wires, easy to connect as shown in picture. It's only got a couple hundred miles since new. Widely used in Brazil. Came on a Brazilian bus. May be manufactured by Bosch. Findable with Google image search. It's about 80 bucks US on various Brazilian ads. A stock coil may work for appearance sake.
