Installing a WW wiring harness. The thick red wires on the end
Are what I'm asking about. Both the instructions given by WWest
And the bug me video portray That end slot with 2 terminals on the
Top side.
The fuse box they sent me has the double terminals on the lower side
Does it matter where the pair of terminals are on that last slot?
Please advise me on this

You can get a tab splicer to go on the fuse box tab from your FLAPS. Maybe they should have included that tab in their wiring loom set.

Just slip out those clips and switch them if need be. Each has a locking tab that can be flexed with a small screwdriver to allow the clips to slide out.
Failing that get an OG fuse box. Most of the new FBs are made of plastic that does not hold up to heat as well as the original.
Either which way solder the clips in each socket together to avoid future voltage drop problems. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |

Why would WW not provide a workable fuse box?
If it is irrelevant it would save me some trouble. If it is important
Why? Same fuse top or bottom does the 2 terminal config matter
whether on top or bottom ?
Bottom line is both instructions and video are consistent
with each other but the fuse box is different |

Yes it matters greatly which side the wires hook up too, it you hook a supply wire on the output side, you may have a situation where other wires on that terminal will not be fused at all. Im not sure about your instructions or a video, Rather go to the source, the VW Bentley service manual, copy of its schematic can be found on the below link, select you year model and follow the schematic....

Wolfsburg West gave me the schematic. Bug me video shows the same.
The fuse box has a flipped config for the end fuse see my pics
Again how do I remedy the different terminal configuration? A schematic
Doesn't answer that |

Ok if the answer is to hit the tabs and switch em. Doesn't sound too bad. Thanks |

The fuse panels sold by most these days are configured for a type2 not a type1. You have to switch the tabs around for it to be correct for a Type1 _________________ 1960 Indigo Blue Ragtop (Blue Barry)

I just got a Wolfsburg west fuse box today. And I see that it is configured differently. It soldered in the middle so it will be hard to reconfigure. I have to figure out which wires get move where. What year is you're bug? |

Grab one of these from your FLAPS and put both red wires on the fuse block per the instructions.

Mine is a 64. Hard to figure out how to get the tabs switched around without making the pressure fit hard to duplicate. I'm calling them tomorrow and try to get the right one. |

If they can't send you the correct one, realize you can use it as-is. Either add the piggyback connector, or (purists beware) just swap the wires top to bottom.. Now, from the factory, the "source" is the top side, and the "devices" are on the bottom side, but if your stock wires are long enough, you can reverse this for that one fuse. It doesn't matter which way the electricity runs through the fuse, and that one is not interconnected with anything else. |

OK its done. It's tight. Now its configured right. A tiny little screwdriver in from the side to pry up slowly and evenly. Popped back in. Tough exercise for someone who doesn't know shit. |

Can we see a pic of your correction? I've just ordered a replacement fuse box from Jbugs. |
