According to the Cambridge English Dictionary only the incandescent lamp fits the definition of a light bulb.

That pretty much matches the Cambridge definition: A rounded glass container with a thin thread of metal inside that produces light when an electric current goes through it.

That is their only definition.

And then there is the customer who screws 3 different bulb that did not work into the new door operator you installed. They call you out for warranty work. You take the working bulb out of the other operator and put into the new one and it lites up. Now you ask for a minimum service call because she just wasted an hour total of your time because there is nothing wrong with the new operator.

I'm changing the headlight bulb on a 2012 subaru right now
took a break after three hours.
Bolts are broke off or missing, seals missing, clips missing, taped together, headlight full of mud, wires corroded.


Pretending that I come from a world where this isn't normal.
But it's a lie.
