Haven't done VW yet but ... My last 70 442 was a real 44 but had been modified over the years. It was a pillar coupe too. Anyway I put in a hi perf 455 and I had an original L69 Tri Power setup that was so original it still had all of the carb tags. It was a high 12s car and was a lot of fun on the street. I'm afraid that today's factory ground pounders would leave it in the dust though.
