Question on Doka factory seat belts: 2 or 3 in back?

Hi Gang!

Long time lurker - first time I have posted. Excited to be the new owner of an 85 Doka. Here is my situation ...

I bought the doka without having the benefit of actually seeing it physically. The deal seems really good, so I pulled the trigger. I plan to bring the family with me to pick it up, and drive home as a adventure/vacation. The thing is we need 5 seat belts (2 in front 3 in back). The seller is a mechanic / car dealer, and there is a language barrier - so we are unsure about the answer he provided when we asked about the number of seatbelts in the back seat.

Here is my specific question: as you can see the doka looks unmodified, so do dokas come from the factory with 3 seat belts or 2 for the back seat?

We have owned a doka before (in europe) and it had 3. We think the car dealer just looked in the window (see pic) and saw the two 3-point harnesses and replied to our question that there are only 2 belts. I really think there is another one (lap belt) under the seat.

Every Crew cab I have seen has 3 belts across the back. If not any auto parts store should have seat belts in stock.

Not sure about from the factory, but my 91 Doka (which was sold right from VW to the Swedish highway service) had none when I got it. There were attachment points for all three though below the seat and on the back!

2 pair of 3 point seatbelts and a lap belt in the middle is right.

Either 3 lap belts, or 2 3points on the side and one lap belt was the standard.

Thanks everyone, that settles it: if it has seat belts it probably has 3. I think I will try to ask him again to actually look under the seat. If not I will post a pic after I pick it up to tie off this tread.

Planning to pick it up in about two weeks.

Ah ha!

The seller finally got back to us: It has a lap belt! I knew it.

Now it is time to fly out there and see if she will make it back the 4000 kms, with the whole family in it. We plan to camp and have adventures along the way.

Thinking about creating an instagram account so friends can follow along on our trip (I think they just want to know where/when we break down as they have a betting pool going). I will post the link here if there is interest.
