Hi , long time no write !
Since the body shop is taking more time than expected , i have started to restore /paint the accessories with the L241 bamboo by myself
While preparing the glove box door for paint , i have tried to install the lock , but hole was smaller ….car came with a button style latch , does cabrio locking latch comes with a bigger diameter ?? , is that correct or i have an incorrect latch? Anybody could email me a correct cabrio glove box lid without the latch instslled ?
On the other hand , should i paint the top frame the same color as the car ? (L241) it is a june 58 kabrio ….
by last , what color should i paint the steering column , brake lever , seat frames , turn signal switch , etc ? car came with a rometsch wheel , what color should i use on it ? _________________ in my Garage:

the top frame was the same color as the body.
all interior accessories were finished either ivory l60 or stone-beige l471 both available at glasurit. however, i think that a rometsch steering wheel had it's own color scheme.
no idea about the glove compartment lid. i have the same problem in my '58 rhd convertible.because there is only one lid in the spare parts list for sedan and convertible, someone must have made the hole for the larger convertible lock. karmann themselves? |

Can anyone tell me if there is a source for these plugs that go on the inside of a 1960 convertible glove box door. Similar to these in the attached photo.

hi !! i have noticed the existence of short tab backrests for post 68 models , can´t these be simply installed on early cars or there is just a height /backrest angle issue ?? anybod ever tried to enlarge the tabs to make a late backrest fit an early car ?? _________________ in my Garage:

hi! i am now replacing the "A" and "B" pillar reinforcements , bought the carpet retainer from Virtanen and the triangles from a very nice guy in the states , the question is : anybody could send me pics of the "A" pillar reinforcement area ?? looks like that there are several versions of the part that goes welded behind the triangle and over the heater chanel ...
thank you !
