They may have been the stock fog lamps on your van. A search showed several used ones for sale in Europe/UK, with one guy in Germany noting that they no longer fit his T3 so he's selling them. I think they are a little smaller than the current Hella 450 rectangular lights, so 450 covers probably would not fit. You could confirm that be measuring them and comparing that to the 450's dimensions on the Hella website.

That is the wrong part number prefix for a vanagon if that is what you are wondering. |

I appreciate the insight. I’ll mess with 450 and see, I know 550 is not even close. I’ve found some lights for sale but never covers. Maybe the my never made them..? Thank you! |

Get your measurements and then contact Susquehanna Motorsports, a long time Hella Dealer. They will probably know where to get the Covers, or if yours is an Oddball in size. _________________ '68 Westy- my first VW and vehicle/Bus- long gone.- sold it to a traveling Swiss couple....

They do list the newer clear style covers, here is a link. I think I had to hunt around for replacing the aging shields on my Hella 550 fog lights, the white plastic style seems to have maybe gone out of production.

Thank you! Me too. Oscar is a keeper.

I feel kind dumb, but no, I have never tried Hella. I will do that!
also, the 550s don't fit. I thought for sure they were close enough to work but once I got them it was not even close. However, now that you have me thinking, I can solve my problem for $90 an d just get new lights and keep these OGs in a parts tub. |

Your Tristar may be too pretty for this but I’d be tempted to take covers that are too large and fashion some bungie cords to hold them in place (drill a couple of holes in the cover and add some straps to go around the lights).
