I can see the emails sent from buyers to sellers through the site so Yes, I could if I looked (I rarely do). _________________ How to Post Photos

looks like a nice PNW bus. nice interior. strong paint. rust where the water had leaked through. Looks like it had been garaged. I like the front floor patches.
67 only pre heat. I'd think it is lowish miles.

I'm usually too slow to get the good deal, but this proves that they're still out there.
Found in a cabin that was getting remodeled, and they no longer wanted it on the porch.
The biggest trouble with it? My bus is a walkthru AND lefthand cargo doors. ugh _________________ 1961 Swivel Seat Kombi

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon. |

Sometimes, the best deals are the ones you give yourself. I had tried to sell this wingnut air cleaner for $40 at the last Bug-O-Rama swap I went to. The paint was mostly gone and it looked a little scruffy, but it was solid. No takers. So I dug it out of my stash, media blasted it and painted it, and now it's going on the 23-window (even though it's technically not correct)

The pics posted in the ad show the m-code plate; from the m-code plate it is very easy to figure out if it came with the tent from the factory.
Options: The SO-42 officially came in 4 different “versions”; A,B,C,& D. The version of the kit is typically designated on the m-code plate.
A: standard equipment.
B: standard equipment plus pop-up top, awning tent and roof rack
C: standard equipment plus pop-up top
D: standard equipment plus awning tent and roof rack _________________ September 1964 Standard Sunroof walk through SWR/BG original paint. |

Funny, that is exactly what I was thinking. I've always wanted a LEFT hand cargo door bus. I think they would be so much more convenient for the driver to access. I've only ever seen one (59 SS LHD Kombi) in the wild. _________________ WANTED:
