Think I finally figured out how to mount the sunvisors. That stupid top latch is busted and it's brand new

Looks awesome.

I've heard the repro crank handles don't always hold up. ?? Sucks because good originals are hard to find. I'm extremely careful with the 68. It takes a lot of force to crank it down. I put the car in the sun when I put the top up and I grease the hooks well. The pins that the hooks grab have sleeves over them and I grease those as well to make sure they spin freely.

Schatze picked up a slightly older Sibling this past Saturday. A 1956 Oval Window Beetle. Beetle also joins the 59 Mango and the 73 Thing. Hopefully they should all play nicely together!!! Meanwhile they will stay indoors til the salt on the roads is gone and the weather warms up!!

Wow, that just made a fantastic collection even better! An oval-dash cab is a seriously rare thing over here. Nice colour combination as well, is the hood pale grey? You'll have me regretting going for a black hood on my Ghia...

Thanks!! Hood(top/roof here in the US) is currently tan vinyl but is originally supposed to be Black Canvas i believe and will eventually return to that color.

My Wife passed away 6/22 and we had her service on 6/26. My Friend dragged me out and i got in some ghia time yesterday
