Fall camping - thank goodness for electric heaters. Met some interesting rock climbers in a nearby site. Having the bus makes it easy for them to open a conversation.

Another great couple of days on the Blue Ridge Parkway. People just love the old bus at the campground.

Yep, Bon Echo Provincial Park. There have been several bus gatherings there over the years. Bon Echo stays open longer than many of the nearby provincial parks. |

Family camping at Golden Ears Provincial park. Unfortunately, this Westy is gone now and my kids would probably pass on going camping in a slow, noisy VW. I'll still go though

Nice! El Mirage is fun, as long as the wind isn't too bad. Cool pics! _________________ Brandon |

Your cat must be something else. How did you train it to not run away? |

Not my cat, so I couldn’t really say. He belonged in the airstream, but spent almost the whole weekend in my bus. Can you blame him?
It was very windy at El Mirage on that weekend. The dust filtered in through every crack and crevice in the bus and settled in an even layer on everything inside. Ended up taping all my windows up from the outside. Luckily it was calm enough for a few hours in the morning so they could still run the speed trials. |

tasb, did you sleep in truck bed? I did that at Woodburn, and the dang bed slats were pretty uncomfortable! Gotta bring a thicker pad next time. _________________ Craig K
