Now, add breather hoses coming around too, and....
You see my dilemma.

Not trying to detour this thread in a different direction since it’s not about wiring. However, I know you are cleaning up engine bay and want to minimize
clutter. My suggestion to you is get rid of those blue crimps and use OEM style crimps. You could cut the blue plastic off those terminals and use black heat shrink instead.
Get rid of that hard plastic corrugated wire loom for one like similar to this.
Alex Tech 10ft - 1/8 inch Cord Protector Wire Loom Tubing Cable Sleeve Split Sleeving For USB Cable Power Cord Audio Video Cable – Protect Cat From Chewing Cords - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FWCJ7QF/ref=cm_sw_r_c...&psc=1
In some situations you can use heat shrink tubing to camouflage wire colors. Just leaving a tip exposed so you can identify wire colors. Put an appropriate diameter of heat shrink on the and only shrink the ends. Leaving the gauge wires loose inside the tube and still able to identify wire color.
Hope that gives you some ideas. _________________ Keep on Busin'

Put a large rubber cap on the fan shroud nipple that was for the charcoal canister.
I used a cap for a VW brake booster. Here's the part number: 030-133-335A

If you use that loom also get some shrink wrap and use about an inch on each side to make it look tight. I agree it looks way better! |

There is a hose going “forward” past the fan shroud from the breather box. Can you show what that is hooked up to?
Safe to assume the other 2 hoses go to valve covers? _________________ '56 Early Split & '69 Early Bay

It just exits in the wheel well if I recall correctly. Maybe I saw a little filter on the end of the hose... _________________ Our cars get old, we get old but driving an old VW never gets old! |

^^^^^
THIS
It exits the wheel well through and existing hole that was for the charcoal evap canister. I have a small "button" filter on it. The low pressure in the wheel well, when moving, sucks the vapor out.
Not really very green, but then i'm driving a 50+ year old gas guzzler. _________________ Glenn

To get a cleaner look I switched to a CSP linkage. I use the CSP breather which is similar to GB's.
I have the case connected to the CSP breather tower from the original fuel pump location.
Then there is a hose that is connected to a Fastfab breather box on the firewall which has openings and lets the excess pressure escape. It allowed me to get rid of the small K&N air filter I had before on top of the CSP Tower I hated because I had oil mist spread all around on the CSP Tower.
Finally I have a vent hose to the Fastfab breather from 1-2 valve cover. That's it.

I only vent off the passenger valve cover and the fuel pump hole. I've been running this Berg breather for 15 or 16 years now and venting has been sufficient for 8,500 rpm, low 12 second 1/4 mile passes and highly spirited street driving. _________________ John Bates

You have the optional vented cap. _________________ Glenn

Thanks you Perry. I was super focused and didn't get to be very social. Missed a lot of people because I spent all day actually racing. _________________ John Bates
