Your ivory escutcheons, door handles, window cranks look perfect, in combination with the steering wheel color.
You could think about adjusting your smiling rear bumper like the following one

Well what do you know
Ol’ Herb earned two awards today at his first VW show
Out of around 150 entries,He earned:
“Top 25 Air-cooled” (voted by the participants)
“Top 10” (voted by the Club holding the event)
Not bad , not bad at all _________________ Currently:

FN Sweet!
I had a feeling that your car would show well.

Today’s project was changing the main and idle jets
40MM IDF style carburetors (Chinese Weber copies)
Old
Main Jet - 115
Idle Jet - 50
New
Main jet - 135
Idle jet - 55
Air jets stayed the same at 200
Engine is an 1835cc with Engle 110 cam and big valve heads (I’d have to look in my papers to see exact size) stock rockers and geometry
Runs smoother and has better responsiveness
I need to drive it more and see how things are

You are right on the escutcheons, I switched them back to ivory already
and you are also right about the smiling bumper.
I had some clearance issues with the top mounted decklid standoffs I had on there when I mounted the bumpers. I have since removed those standoffs but havent adjusted the bumper yet. _________________ Currently:

This weekend’s project was installing an adjustable beam
First I stripped and cleaned the donor beam
And cut and welded in the adjusters, it off the “horns”,and coated it all in POR-15
Then when it was ready, I pulled out the existing front beam
And swapped all the parts over
It’s an early beam, so no steering damper mount was present . I bought a bolt on billet aluminum one and slapped it on there
I put it all back together at the lowest possible height
That’s way too low for me and the tires weee rubbing
I was just trying to Lower it slightly so it doesn’t look like a monster truck
After a few tries and adjustments , it’s pretty close
It’s really hard to tell in pics, but its at least an inch lower
Easier to tell at a 3/4 angle from the rear
I still have to do the rear , but I’m waiting on short axles etc _________________ Currently:
