I like the idea of air conditioning, just not all the extra plumbing
Good to see it’s working well _________________ 1973 super 2110cc

The dual zone AC sounds nice, it will be almost 100 today and I'm just putting around with the windows down suffering |
Just the few rides we've taken it on in the last 2 days have been really comfortable. Knocking 8 degrees C from the outside temps and reducing the humidity in the Bus was pretty sweet!

Finally finished off my A/C dual zone project in my Bus. Had a 1 evaporator design ready to install last year but decided to make it a dual zone and modified and added a 2nd heater core and A/C evaporator unit from a friends Subaru swap project between the seats last year. The heat works great in the winter and now the A/C is working well too.

db, the bus is more and more becoming a rolling luxury resort.
when do you install the kegerator?
(insert smiley face here.)
amazing work. |
Tempting idea and thanks Tom! My colleague makes his own beer and just bought a new kegerator.....so his old one is available.....
However, if I take out the racks from my 3 way fridge in the Bus, a small keg will fit inside and I don't mind opening the fridge door to pull out the hose and pour a glass.
Back in the first few years at Uni on the odd weekend, we'd pool our money and pick up a full sized keg of whatever was on sale (usually Molson Canadian or Molson Export) at "The Beer Store" and put it in a green garbage bin and pack it with ice. It was definitely a conversation starter when we'd walk into a house or dorm party carrying a keg.
Having A/C in the Bus was not a must have but as I had all the components and already installed and connected the 2nd heater, I thought, why not build it?
It was a fun project and my wife is happy to have the option on those hot days when we're stuck in gridlock traffic trying to get away for a long weekend. Once driving, I prefer to have the windows open as does my wife.

Took part in the cruise to the Great Canadian VW Show yesterday in light rain. The weather improved and we had a fair bit of sun and warmer temps by 11am and a fair turn out. If the weather had been better we would have seen another 50 to 100 VWs but still had over 100 on display.

It was good to meet you. Even though it wasn't in the show, I see my bus did make it into one of your pics. I like the sidelines so I can visit with family and frilends a little more quietly. Even had one person who wanted to buy it. Take care. |

It was great meeting you and your family too! I would have liked to talk more but my wife and daughter were waiting on my son and I to get lunch.
Here is another pic of your beautiful Bus.

Stopped by the Langley Cruise-In again this year and saw a few familiar faces plus met some new people. Mainly Classic cars and custom builds but here are a few VWs.

Thanks Tom. We go to a few and I think that is the last big one for the year. As the weather cools and the rain starts, hopefully the wildfires will be back under control soon and we'll be back out camping regularly again.
How's your Bus running? All broken in now? _________________ *******************************
