The Post office thinks I live in Palmdale. But we actually live 20 miles east. About 2,700'. And Yep. We get snow pretty much every year. Last substantial snow was December 2008. 12". Most often about 2-4".
My cousin used to live in Big Bear City, overlooking Baldwin Lake. They get snow up there.
Here, in the early 90s, we had 5" of snow on 5/5. Another time, we had 6" of snow on Easter Sunday late in April.
Then again, in 1971 on the 4th of July, I got snowed on in Wolf Creek Pass in Colorado, 10,856 at the top, but it was snowing from about 8,000' up and back down the other side. Then the same day again at Flagstaff AZ, about 7,000'. AHP pulled everyone over on the side of I40 for the night. Nobody had chains and there was 5-6" on the ground. They sent us on our way the morning of the 5th after snow plows had done their work. Had to start the engine periodically during the night to run the heater. _________________ Richard

Was that taken in the East bay area? Buggy looks good and the wheels are great! _________________ 1966 Manx clone (possibly a Joe Poty Enterprises) named SANDY. '70 to '73 1300 cc w/1600 DP heads, twin carbs and headers |

Saw this nice Buggy on Sunday after Windsurfing at a local river launch. Said hi to the owner but he was in a hurry to meet someone so didn't have much of a chance to talk. My daughter wants one so I was hoping to ask a few questions and see if he knew of anyone who had one for sale.
