Do either of you have kids?
kids out here have to be vaccinated for:
Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis (DTaP)
Polio (OPV or IPV)
Hepatitis B
Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR)
Varicella (Chickenpox) |
Yes, I have an adult daughter who is vaccinated for all of those things. They are not the same as the coof vax. And newborns do not need the Hep B vax unless they are at specific risk. Lumping the mRNA type of vax in with those others, when discussing vax mandates and schedules, is an issue that seems to go unnoticed.

If you are making this statement in regards to the Covid 19 vaccine, it is 100% wrong. It never stopped the spread of the virus, and was never tested for that issue previous to release for public use.

I never said anything regarding the lethality of Covid 19. And your stats are dated from 2021. There is much more comprehensive info available now.
EDIT: I was just perusing the CDC website. Because I am a Luddite, I can't figure out how to copy the graph from there, but it's called "provisional weekly deaths per 100,00 population". It's pretty interesting.

Mediocre (at best) Playmate Jenny McCarthy became a leading voice in the anti-vaccination movement after claiming the MMR vaccine caused her son's autism—a claim for which there is no scientific evidence. Her celebrity status amplified this message, and the rise in vaccine hesitancy that followed was dubbed the "Jenny McCarthy effect".
Outbreaks linked to low vaccination rates have led to hospitalizations and, in some cases, death. Health experts and publications like Business Insider and The New Yorker have stated that by using her public platform to promote "faux science," McCarthy has indirectly contributed to serious health problems and deaths.
The site https://www.jennymccarthybodycount.com/ attributes at least 9000 deaths (up to 2015) due to the McCarthy affect/failure to vaccinate.
My own sister is strongly anti-vaccine; I should also note that she has NEVER had a science class, even in high school, and would never be confused with a rocket scientist.

I don't believe anyone was deliberately trying to take away anyone's liberty during the Covid19 days but it was an emergency strategy adopted to simply keep people home so that there was less of a chance of catching the sickness and ending up clogging the ICUs.

Driving that old Bus lacking modern safety features, if you get in a wreck, your injury may end up swamping the ICU ward. This can cripple care that more worthy people need who drive safe modern cars.
Then we have motorcycle riders, contact sports, skiing, tree houses. My goodness all these risk takers will swamp our medical services, we need to restrict them, take away their privileges in society!!! But the old cars, those owners of old cars are the worse of the worse!!!!!

| I kind of took the statistics with a grain of salt after my local TV station showed the Johns Hopkins daily chart every newscast. I saved pics on my phone for years where they showed things like United States death rates were higher than the world when the world rate was supposed to include the US. It happened a couple times a week! |

I knew two guys who did not get the vaccine. One was in my Lamaze class. I had a beautiful son and he had a beautiful daughter.
The other guy worked for me. We were not as close but he had 4 young children.
Both of them were in their 50s and in great health. One had an open gasket wake. I could barely recognize him. Covid had destroyed his body in a week.
Watching their children eulogize their fathers was one of the hardest things I ever have witnessed.
People make their own choices based on their own beliefs. Thats America. Make the choice thats best for you and for those you love. |

I know at least a dozen guys in their 40's and 50's, healthy and strong, no vax, never stopped working, never stopped going outside. Most never had a symptom even if they did contract the coof.
I realize that doesn't make the loss of a friend or father any easier, but I have to say that their deaths are way, way under the norm statistically.

A couple of my best friends are not down with vaccines but enjoy a pack of Marlboro reds every day. I don’t shame them. And they don’t shame my life style choices.
