any sugestions for a decent alternative to factory wheels?
i've been looking for genuine 8x16's but not much luck here or on ebay.
wheels and caps has some replicas on ebay, anybody have those, or experience with them?

wheel enhancement gave me a quote of a grand per copy for factory new.
not really in my price range.
didn't you know, we vw guys are cheapskates! Wink

That is the going rate. You won't find them any cheaper.

From about 78 to 89, one of the most common wheel combos fitted to 911s was 6x16 on the front and 7x16 on the rear. Almost every owner today wants to upgrade the width of their wheels all around (to fit wider tires). By simply buying two 16x8 Fuchs for the rear, and moving their original rears up front, all four corners get wider wheels for only $2k.
