Hey everyone, I don't know if anyone remembers but I had a thread here before I bought my bus, the bus was for sale on craigslist and I asked here if it was a good buy.I bought it, then almost had to get rid of it because of my dad.Unfortunately I don't have any before pictures
but here are some pictures of it now.Thanks.Ill post more pictures tomorrow because its different now.

Looks really nice! Love the blue plaid and the workmanship on the floor!
Speaking from experience, there isn't a Dad alive that doesn't kick himself for not buying *some* car at some point in his past. For my dad, it was a Jaguar XKE that he almost bought for a low price but didn't. For me, it was an early Porsche 911 that was offered to me super cheap. If you have to, remind the old fella that the purpose of being a parent is to try to ensure that your kids don't make the mistakes that you did. Tell him that so far he's doing his job.

Looks like its coming along nicely! I love how you have a mini sub in the couch base. I'm in the same situation you are in right now, redoing interior stuff (along with mechanical). I still need do a few things here and there but IMO, wood floor is the way to go. Post more pics as you progress!
Edit: Why did you block off your rear heater vent? |

Ha - I remember driving my first Bus home in high school. On the highway ramp my mom saw the back-up lights go on and got real worried! But that Bus made it coast to coast a year later. _________________ '71 Westy |

My dad has owned so many cars over the years. It going up into like the 60+ vehicles total. Like 20 were Jeeps, haha. However he always told me that his dream car was a 1988 Jaguar XJS. When i told him that i had always wanted an old vw bus and i got one it kind of inspired him to go find his. He got lucky and some guy had traded a beautiful Jaguar at a dealership and dad took it. So he lost his awesome Neon R/T, but got his dream. I'm of proud of him

Love the bus, looks very sharp. I was never a fan of the big space in the middle, but you did a very good job of it. And if that last picture is of you, then your smile says it all. _________________ 1972 Deluxe named Lucidity

Your bus is looking good :0)
If you get a chance you may want to see about getting seats with a head rest if your does not already have the holes for them; also a good idea(if you do not already know about it) would be to check out Richard Atwell’s (ratwell.com) web page for a lot of GREAT information for your bus, the link below has some upgrades that are a very good idea for safety and reliability :0)

That is correct, but there is also a vent that comes out under the rear bench. Its probably blocked off. no big deal, but you might want to check it so it doesn't heat up your speaker.
very nice bus!

Ok, so now that I know you are not the girl in the photo, that is the ugliest bus I have ever seen! Do the Boston Celtics play on your floor? Just kidding of course, enjoy your bus. _________________ 1972 Westy ("Bubbles") - Pastel White - 1700(1974 MT) - Dual Solex |
