I have called twice and sent a couple emails to both addresses on their (contact us) page.
Been a few weeks with no responses.

Anyone know if these guys are open?

I need a right hand spindle nut for my 64 Notch w/drum brakes.

Well, you are on the proper coast, so time zone differences is not the issue. No idea.

It took him a couple of days but I did receive an email response on an order status from Alex over the weekend. It was an internet order so I did not have to call.

Their website has been all screwed up the last few weeks...you should probably just call them.

I was looking at an ignition part and it was giving me fabric color options. It was happening on multiple pages and some never rendered due to errors.

That's just it... I would have no problem ordering off the net but the nut I need isn't called out "right/left thread" so I don't want to order the wrong one.
I called em twice on different days and sent a couple emails. Nothing...
I've purchased and spent bigger bucks from em in the past, hopefully it's not this measly $3 nut "rendering my Notch undrivable" that's making it not worth their time :(

I've only called them a couple of times-both afternoon and they picked up rather quickly. I don't buy a lot from them but they're usually very responsive-they know that a $3 nut now could later turn into a $500 sale later.

Wait a little while and try again. Or if you're close, stop by the shop...

So what kind of fabric did you decide on for your ignition?

I wound up finding one with fewer options at a comparable price...I didn't have to choose a color.

The site works when you go to it first...when you Google search a VW part number and click on the link, that's when there are problems.

Last I checked, horn bars, turn signal lenses and rear view mirrors didn't have fabric options!

I just ordered some stuff via evil-Bay from ISP West. I screwed up on the payment and thought I paid twice, Anthony was quick to respond after checking things on his end for me.

So they are still around, maybe just having website issues?

lol.. I 'm not having problems with the site. I'm having problems with human contact

I have ordered online just fine but I need a right hand threaded spindle nut. I don't want to pull the trigger and order a left hand thread on accident (their site doesn't give an option for which thread you want).

I also sent another question about a spacer in the drum area about a month ago and got no response.

Maybe they are kind of annoyed that you don't Trust them to send you the correct VW part since VW's are business for years! If you would of just ordered online, you'd have it now.

You're fucking with me right?

I'm assuming you have never ordered from their site?
There isn't a box that I can check that mentions left/right side offered. It merely states (Spindle Nut).

When shipping is $8 for a $3 part, it's not something I'm willing to risk. I asked a couple months ago about a will call pick up and they said they are not allowing that at the time to the public. I'm only 4 miles away so you can imagine my frustration.

NO will call pick up sounds kind of shitty!
I've been ordering all my special bolts/nuts out of a DORMAN catalog from Eugene Fastener.

Ive ordered from them before and had my brother pick it up from them since he works down the street. They have always had incredible customer servive.Call me old fashioned but I dont like doing internet orders myself because I would rather speak to someone and ensure its the right part for my application.

They hosted the big Type 3 gathering at the Classic recently. Just got a package from them so I don't think they're closed. They'd better not be.

If you can't get through, try Bill & Steve's.

They're not closed. Just call or go in person. Alex was out of town for a while which is why they were "closed" for a month or so. They're back to being "open" and like Tram just mentioned, hosted a Type 3 event during the Classic Weekend. If you're 4 miles away, drive over there.

Just go over there if you're that close. I went in...at first they told me they didn't sell OTC but then decided to sell to me since I was there and wanted to spend $$.
