I can believe is Ultra Maroon, tomorrow in the light I will try to find it better and take pictures, by the way which place is better to see the real original color?

Best place to check is behind the dash in the trunk and under the cower (where the wiper motor is) and the channel for the seal in the engine compartment will usually have PERFECT original paint. Next best would be the firewall under the gas tank.

Take some pics of these areas and post

Hi again Razz

Soooo you mean the correct leartherette for my oval is Beige? correct? code M079? is that?

For me is ok, I love each colour, i like even more beige.

regards.

Quote:

In my opinion, If your car had red leatherette upholstery, then the birth certificate would show option M104 and not M079.

Yes, the cars came with Red (M104) or Beige (M079) leathette, and depending on which colour was used, the associated 'M' option would be listed on the birth certificate.

The reference you listed above only lists the options available and not the 'M' option number that goes with those options.

2) the M018 I am confused with this...

I was under the impression that option M018 is for Egg tail lights. My car has that option, and it's an Oct '54 U.S. Bound Semaphore car.

**All Oct'54 (chassis # 1-0722915) - Mar'55 U.S., Guam, and Canadian market cars used the red convex plastic lens taillights. All of these cars had semaphore directional indicators.

Hi, I just got my Zertifikat and thought I would add to this thread.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

I started another thread with some of the other M code issues, but wanted to confirm that I have just found out from a previous owner that my car originally had Beige Leatherette which would enforce (at least for 1954 cars) that M079 could be Beige Leatherette.
