The bumper looks pretty straight Laughing
Your welding looks great, I am jealous. Wonder if I'll ever learn how to weld.
If I ever get up the extra money, what welder should I get for an amateur to weld body panels etc.?

I bought a welder from eastwood and it works pretty good. Some parts such as nozzle gun isnt very.good. i recommend getting lincoln from home depot because they look better imo. Get 110amp or more. More amps the better. Make sure gas hook up is there because gas brings out huge benefit to welding the sheet metals. If you do butt weld those sheet metal then the gap must have sheet metals touching each other then you are ok. Bigger than that start using strips to fill those gaps.

If your just wanting to weld body and sheet metal.. It's tough to beat a Lincoln sp-135-t I have one and love it for a 110 unit... I also have a lincoln 180 220v and that's a good one to.

Curious... what method/tools did you use to scrape the tar mats off the tunnel?

Too long since last update.... Ill post pics where I'm at soon. The body is now on the pan and I need to buy new bolts to bolt the body down. It is far sale and I have been very distracted with my 65 bus but however no one has step up to buy my 58 so ill keep it and get it back on the road for my wife to enjoy. Also I just might graft a ragtop on it. Stay tuned.....
