A member here named southolive, installed a portable ac unit in the rear closet permanently for cooling when camping and 110 power is available. It was actually a very clean install. I copied some other members ideas for an AC for camping when there is power.
My version. Sets up in a minute.
Having about 40 hours in the bib alone, TK's complete setup is a good deal in the classifieds if he is still making them.
For AC when moving, I installed a Vintage Air dash unit. It keeps the front passengers cool. Search Google for Blake Heinlein Vanagon AC. He completely documented the vintage air install. If you search here for Vintage Air Gen IV someone installed the later vintage air unit.
All of these options are a ton of work and not for the meek. |

Has any one thought of, this kind of roof ac unit . The most advantage in this set up, unit will have every part needed for ac to work expect ac compressor. I like to know any negative side . One I can think of is, it is easily noticeable from outside.
Thanks. |

Anything less than a loin cloth and its considered indecent exposure... And more seriously... Mostly I wear wicking T and shorts with a liner for hiking and biking in summer. |
