|
|
When I was young I remember hearing if you got 100,000 miles out of a vehicle it was worn out.
I just turned 200K today and I am running an entirely new drivetrain. Hopefully I see another 200K!
How many miles do you have on your Van? I believe I had heard of one that was half a million miles and still going?
There is nothing but love driving this brick down the road! Yeah, I had to document the moment.

217,000 on original WBX (rebuilt once)… headed to a Bostig or TenCent soon .
Rod Steward to turn 200K???… "Not that there's any thing wrong with that!"…if that's what you're into...
Here's hoping 300K has a much better sound track … to each his/her own.
Rock on!

My old main driver a '84 GL had approx 160K, did a clutch, rings, brngs oil seals and was past 330K when sold, still doing great. Sold because i thought i had a need 4 a syncro, never had it any serious snow to test but my main runner now.Came with noisy eng and rplaced with a rebuilt one. The westy still strong with approx 160+k, not all my miles but passed hot oil press test very well, not a fast driver so will keep on 4 now. |

Over 350K now, and am the original owner since August of 1983! It's like a family dog, but thankfully it likes to sleep out under the stars and not on the corner of the bed. |

I shed a tear for your. A precious moment indeed! I could not even tell you how many miles are on VanWilder but I will say well over 300,000. Love your baby as one day it will be gone.

Great feeling -- great photo.
260,000 miles total -- we got 220,000 (with no problems) out of the original 1.9l and are now 40,000 into the GoWesty 2.2l rebuilt.
I suppose that's why posts that call the WBX a 'crappy motor' tend to rankle me. |

1980 Westy...15 years in the barn...3 years out of the barn.
Then, around 165K. Now, 183,592 on the rebuilt original engine, original un-rebuilt transmission. |
