Thanks, Dale.
As soon as I can get it on the road I'll give it a try and post info.
It's hard to get drive time in the city. Smile

Well I took it out for a day trip and beat it good and still only reading around 120. I even bought a new sender and put it in the oil relief hole.
Maybe my gauge is faulty?
Also my VDO gauge is a water gauge but was told it would work.

I just ordered a oil temp gauge to see if it makes a difference.

Thats why I installed the thermostat, hoping it would bring the temp up.

The only reason I ordered the new gauge was because the old one was a water temp gauge.
I was unsure if it responded to the sender the same as the oil temp gauge.

Thanks, Dan

Fluid temperature is fluid temperature. The gauge doesn't know what kind of fluid it is.

Try running it without the oil cooler or wrapping it.

Just a little update.
After installing the new oil temp guage and duel oil pressure sender I am now reading over 145 deg. and warm idle at 19psi idling.
These readings are after idling in my garage for 15min.
I am happy with new reading.
Hopefully they are correct. Very Happy
