Engine does not fit on transmission

I have a 1963 double door panel van. I think the transmission and engine do not belong to this bus. But anyway i will use them but the engine does not fit on the transmission. Wich modification or adaptor do I need. The transmission is the model with the reduction box and the engine is a 1600. See pictures

Most likely trying to fit a 200mm flywheel into a 6v tranny.

You need to do some grinding of the tranny case for it to fit.

As always when you are not 100% sure what you are trying to match up, find out.

if you are putting a 12 volt motor with the 200mm fly wheel on a transmission that was last used in a 6 volt car with a 180mm fly wheel, you will need to look at the entire clutch and throwout bearing assembly. Just by a kit that includes all pieces matching.

it is typically very easy (and backyard mechanicy) to just "machine" the tranny with the flywheel during installation. Turn it over with the starter.

make sure you use a 12 volt starter matching your flywheel. This might require some fitment into the actual transmission case, (bushing or no bushing)

Ultimately, it will fit, no doubt

That starter cover was used on both 6 and 12 volt self supporting starters..

Count how many teeth on the flywheel. You could have a 12 volt or 6 volt geared flywheel.
