Can anyone tell me what to use to clean the engine, I need to remove oil and tarnish from gas ect. Thanks

Gum Out spray carb cleaner and a stiff nylon brush followed by paper towels.

You can also get the gum out in liquid form and its cheaper. Pour it in a pan and use a paint brush to apply. I use the liquid for large areas, and the spray for smaller, tighter areas. You can also mix it with mineral spirits as well.

I use simple green in full strenght with a stiff nylon brush.

If that does not get it, I use kerosene. Home depot sells it as lamp oil. Works great and is super cheap. 1 gallon is 11 bucks. I then scrub it with simple green!

Note: when using the kerosene. I use a large steel pan. About 24 inch diameter. The pan catches the used kerosene. I then filter this dirty kerosene through cheese cloth, into a glass container. That way you can use it again and again. If you end up not using it within a few months of placing it in the glass jar, when you return to it, the sediment typically will settle and you will have fairly clear kerosene once again. You can then either pour it into the original container and get rid of the sediment or keep on using it. Awesome stuff! 1 gallon has lasted me close to four years!
