Your build is great - specifically keeping the original look and feel of an 84 westy.
I'm personally not a big fan of ABS plastic doorpanels, carpet kits with seams everywhere, even the chrysler town and country seats.

Your mods/improvements have been tasteful - like engine, suspension, wheels.

Thanks. I agree with the ABS panels and whatnot. I know people tend not to like these seats and will say the original "thin butt" camper seats kinda suck.

I wanted to try the late seats before I made any decisions on which way I was going to go. A good friend of mine that is always out and about tripped over these at a swap and they were dirt cheap so he grabbed them for me (thanks Jon!)

after tossing them in my wife and I really liked them so the decision was made to match them with the period correct fabric. I think I'm going to do the rear seat and mattress cover as well...the rear seat top is heavily faded and pretty thin in that spot.

I figured out a long time ago that there are a bunch of mods that just don't age well. I'm doing my best to keep in in that survivor/resto-mod vibe.

Should I ever decide to sell it I think a real clean survivor would sell easier than something that had a bunch of gingerbread garbage on it the buyer wouldn't want.

Haha! Thanks

I've been waiting for your build to come together. Actually, I've been waiting for you to sell me your sliding door Very Happy

seeing I had all the carpet out I ended up looking at the front table leg. seems like it was some sort of bright coating on it at one point...not chrome, not galvanized but more like bright zinc coating. well, it was looking scuzzy...

This is great, I want to just be on the road and you're polishing the table legs.....
Hope you did something about the rough finish on the knob..... Wink

I'm planning a trip to Boston to see my grandaughter( and her parents), a detour to Sticksville may be in order.

i'm about an hour and 1/2 outside of North Wicked Awesome. not sure it's worth the drive to my place only to have your sliding door stolen and swapped with an ashtray stuffed with 100 dolla bills Laughing

but, you're more than welcome Very Happy

Glad you polished your knob! And no, I want nothing to do with your onlyfans page....
My slider has a dent in it so I'm probably safe.
