What did they look like 30 years ago?! I bet that SS DD was in much better shape! Still a crazy score! |

I was waiting to see who would catch that It was a total mosh posh of stuff. Someone from the Inland Empire bought it. Maybe one day it will show up at OCTO? The new owner thinks it's a panel.... _________________

Holy crap that thing would be a bus nerds wet dream. Like it’s worth nothing on the resale market except for the seat, but would be the king of commercial vehicles. |

Bummer on the Buses being too much money but that is a sweet NOS metal score _________________ How to Post Photos

I am new to uncovering logos. I took a bucket of hot soapy water to it and a wrag and soaked the wrag and held it against the dirty logos flat and let it soak until the wrag cooled down. This softened the mold/dirt mix. Then I soaked the wrag again and gently wiped the area I just softened. It did alot. I'll look at it again tomorrow and see what is next. Maybe CLR?
I might lay a blanket over the area and soak it with hot soapy water tomorrow and see how it goes. I'm hoping the lettering will stay in place. Bus was light grey, then someone painted it Dove Blue and then logos.
Hanceville Alabama business bus. Next town over from me. Hoping to find old pictures if possible once the logos are clearer.
Missing motor, headlights, nose emblem, and radio but the rest is on or in the bus. One tail light is broken. All 4 cargo door hinge wedges are still on it too! _________________ Current projects:

Great finds! On the east coast these would be a very rare find. All of these buses look like good bases for restorations. And these nos parts are awesome! _________________ Current projects:

Happy New Year!
Back in August I got turned onto a stash of cars and parts that an old timer mechanic had. He had split buses, bay windows, and late model bugs. I am not into bays or bugs, so I was really only interested in the split buses and bus parts. It was 104 degrees that day which was not enjoyable in the weeds.
The first image I saw when I pulled up.
This Light Grey panel had a swarm of bees inside of it, and the bulkhead had been cut out so no m-code plate.
1957 Single Cab with a massive hole cut into the dash.
At first glance, I thought this was a Panel, but after getting inside and seeing the headliner clip and mango dash, something wasn't adding up. I looked at the m-code plate and realize that it started life as a Standard and someone pop riveted on NOS Panel upper long panel, NOS Panel upper quarter panel, put on an NOS solid rear hatch, and NOS panel cargo doors on it to make it look like a panel.
1966 Single Cab with vin 26600008x. Originally Velvet Green, it was super dry but was missing everything.
Out of the 4, the '66 Single Cab was the one I wanted the most, but decided to pass on all of them because they were all basket cases that were basically shells and they were all priced with not much meat on the bone, so I decided they weren't worth my time to drag home and try to make money off of.
However, myself and a friend I took with me ended up walking away with several parts. I was able to score a good amount of NOS sheet metal that the majority of has already found new homes.

| Granted there’s not a lot of a panel to strip in the first place, but it’s impressive how much was cleaned off that thing. Cool logos! |

Yes, I made a log interior/bed with the skills I learned working for a log home builder in Northern Minnesota over the previous summer. Still have a couple chunks of it around here somewhere. Last I heard, the bus is still tucked away in a garage in Spokane. _________________ Confusious say it takes it takes two wipes to know you need three, but it takes three wipes to know it only needed two. |
