Can't see the shiny chrome one's ad, but the other in thsamba classifieds has a photo (#4) of slot where wire comes out, in the underside of the elbow. _________________ Craig K

The middle one is the original that the others for sale don't have that. |

Reviving this nearly 18 year old thread. I saw this Hella spotlight/mirror posted for sale on IG today for $1,500. There were lots of detailed pictures of it. I saved them in gallery (10 total) if you are interested viewing the pictures.
And here is a picture from another thread:
And one in the Classifieds for $1,995:

And a picture from the 2014 OCTO meet with it installed:

All three of those don't show the wire coming out of the bent mount arm. How are they powered? |

That shape makes this wiring diagram make more sense:

Maybe I'll rethink my idea.
I like the thought of the lamps but for that kinda money, I think I'll invest in a new torch instead _________________ SBS#27 UK chapter

As far as I know there are no hidden fees or taxes.
All prices quoted on our site include Vat at 17.5% which applies to customers from the UK and most of Europe.
For the USA and the rest of the world the Vat is deducted so you actually pay less for the item than the quoted price.
Of course you may have to pay Vat when it enters your country but that is down to the particular countries customes policys, nothing whatsoever to do with KK.

Have you got an item number for that please. It's got to be worth a look. There's NO WAY I'm paying a grand from KK's web site. |
That thing looks terrible, the ONLY cool mirror spotlight to have is the real thing which, as already pointed out, were fitted to Ambulances and made by Hella!
I think we have sold all ours! (must update web site, sorry!) |
About 7 years ago, I bought a few parts from you and called with my credit card info and you all said that you couldn't give me a total. I expected to pay for the part plus shipping. The next thing I know the "total" was alot more than what we discussed when the credit card bill came in. Then when I called back, you all gave the run around. The person I talked to said that there were taxes added on. So if I wasn't told about these......then they become hidden charges. |

.....but still, for 10 bucks, it's got to be worth a look at the very least.
I'm wondering if any of the old UNITY-type spotlights could be easily adapted to work. Placing great emphasis on the word "easily"
Something like this maybe

| That spotlight/mirror isn't even close to a Hella mirror. The one pictured has an on and off switch sticking out of the mirror and it clamps onto your rain gutter. On a Hella mirror you turn the mirror to get it to come on so no external switch. Look around on Ebay and you will see that these Hella spotlights come in different sizes. The smaller ones are for motorcycles. Your best bet is to find just the spotlight on Ebay and then order the correct arm that mounts to your hinge pin from KK. |
