The last time I saw it was in 2013 at SBR1.

I'm pretty sure it changed hands shortly thereafter and possibly ended up overseas. BTW, it's the blue one with the overriders.

I am very glad to see you enjoyed the bus. I put in good years into building everything and getting i just back to a decent usable condition. I had that thing 4 feet in the air off a jump a few times. Shocked that motor was bullet proof as long as it was maintained. it held almost 6 qts of oil with the huge filters. i think i sent it to you with only the single filter installed thou and the smaller cylinder heads. i could have sworn i sent you the vacuum pump i had for the brakes. it looked like a small round chrome can? any ways glad to see it was getting some use. ive had that thing sunk about a foot up the side in snow and mud. too much fun.

any technical questions anyone has can prolly be answered towards the beginning of this thread.

Any problems mounting that tire on such a narrow stock rim?

Do you think the extra power from the stroker is absolutely necessary to turn those bastards? Looks awesome and I would like to do something similar on my 68 once I get to that point, but I don't want to spend tons extra for a motor in order to enjoy it.

No problems to mount the tires!!

Is it absolutely necessary I don't know but it sure makes it easy!!!

I think a stock motor will push it you will just run it hotter trying to maintain high way speeds!!!! I'm sure a 1776 will push it no problem!!!

How loud are these tires on the road? I know you have quite an engine in there but do you "feel" the extra weight of that tire? How does it drive on the road? Does it want to wander?

This would be a great combo for adventuring and camping, but realistically the majority of my driving is on the road. I know it won't be quiet like a road tire, but I don't want it to drone on and on like a big 4x4.

Thanks,
Dadembk

I don't think they are loud! A bit louder than street tires maybe but everyone that rode with me says the same ! For me they drive nice I have been driving 70 on the interstate and it drives nice!

We are actually getting the one size bigger for my sons thing and I will see how they match up on the bus!
