a lot of pimp my ride stuff going on with that one
flashy stuff - metallic sparkle paint, carbon fiber vinyl wrap, two sets of tail lights, diamond stitch, body color propane tank......im getting a fast & furious vanagon kind of vibe.......
maybe some people are into that.....that's cool.....
but like..where's the compressor fridge?
how about some water lines without 40 years of mold in them?
that 87 syncro with the 20V tho? |

You could sue for breach of contract? Doesn't that count as a legal sale? _________________ '87 Syncro Ferric Oxyhydroxide Superleggera Edition

I had a horrible experience on bring-a-trailer. I won my dream syncro westy. we talked for a couple of days about logistics and then he dropped a bomb. Someone went outside bring-a-trailer and offered him more. He stopped corresponding. I contacted BAT and they contacted him but they said there was nothing they could do. Last week I saw the van at stefans autohaus ( it had the 1.8T ) he is out of vegas and dropped it off for repair and flew back... |

Aw man, the owner of that van was a buddy of mine. Really good guy and he babied that van. He died about a year ago. He would have never sold that thing even though he rarely drove it. |

The issue that it is a converted tintop and not a factory Westy may have been noticed by others and suppressed some bidding, along with the rebuilt title issue.
Both issues seemed to have been glossed over by the seller.

Not sold @ $34K. I think deviating from stock outside colors and inside as well, affects prices most of the time. Just my opinion, and it may not be correct.
There are certainly non-stock colors, like orange and certain beiges I find appealing, but perhaps others would not. _________________ John - 86 Wolfsburg Westfalia "Weekender"

Being a make-the-glass-laugh fanatic, my usual go-to is Sprayway.
For the occasional all-'round, inside and out deep clean it's Allen's double strength cleaning vinegar in a bowl with warm water.
