We should probably keep this thread for TerraPodz info and use the thread for original Projektzwo stuff here:

I like the look of the rectangular headlights with the lower ProjektZwo grille extension. Wink

I have these lamps. They were installed when I bought my van in 2008.
Are these the originals?

They have a thick clear vinyl “protection” stuck to the glass.

The depth was the limit IMO for the specific lens.
The style and size was kinda common in the 80s here in europe, but did not make it into the 90s.
Plastic bumpers killed the market of aftermarket lenses Smile

There are repros of the specific lens available, but they do not have E or DOT marks so they are not street legal.

Good idea using an off the shelf lens, only drawback I can see is how fragile those 550's seem to be. At least in my experience, I have a box of cracked / fogged lenses.

I have a set of original Projektzwo$ I only mount occasionally when I want to show off, otherwise they stay in a box covered in bubblewrap Laughing .

Looks great. Using off-the-shelf light source is awesome too. Especially given that the hella 550 is available in fog, driving, white, amber...

Thumbs Up Thumbs UpI like the new design.
I have those lights mounted above the bumper on a bracket but don't like the look of them just hanging out there.

My TP are still working fine after probably 6 or 7 years (bought them when they first came out), but the driver's side lens has a wicked cataract. Guess the lens quality was different between the two lights. Too bad because they look pretty trashed now. All the LEDs are still working tho.

I don't, sorry.
I'm not personally involved with them, I'm just a satisfied customer.

I don't have a clue what is happening over on Facistbook.
I am also unaware of actual current prices.
What I can say, is that I've owned both. The originals sucked as far as build quality. The TPs are leaps and bounds better.
The TPs have polycarbonate lenses and ABS housing.
The originals don't. Also, impossible to find replacement parts for.
Which is exactly why, I suspect, the TPs were created.

Any idea where I can find new lenses? Mine are kinda rough…

I agree 100% it's an appearance thing.
They also do a fair job of DRL. I love mine.
