GREAT NEWS FOR RHD OWNERS!!!!!!!
RHD mat set for both Low Lights and 60's-70's Karmann Ghias are AVAILABLE NOW in the websites:
www.lowlightwerks.com
www.60sKGmats.com
I took few years to get a set of original RHD mats in good shape to be able to make the molds. Thank you Nicholas!!
Besides, another great news is that NOW the manufacturing process changed, the rubber is directly pigmented rubber, so there is no color wearing any more!

That's great, Luis.
When do you think you will begin the next run/deliveries for your Winter 2023 rubber mat orders? |

Dear Karmann Ghia Owners!
The water-jet shop made a mistake and delivered the order MISSING one part. After some negotiations we got more material and now all orders had been delivered and there are extra sets IN-STOCK for immediate delivery!
If you bought my rubber mats, get FREE SHIPPING! Use Coupon OwnMats in the website www.60sKGmats.com
The new batch has pre-cut lines for RHD or LHD sets.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

SOUND ABSORBER UNDER-MATS
I just got one more interested customer. ONLY 2 MORE TO GO!
They work for ANY year Karmann Ghia. is not just the looks, it is a lot quieter to ride with them!
The way it looks, it may take a while before they become available after this batch.

Hello Ghía friends!
A couple of good news:
I got a set of original RHS (right-hand side) mats! (thank you, Nicholas!)
They are not in perfect condition but I can work on them and create nice molds!
Creating the 4 molds is in the order of 4-5K, so before I start making them, I need to know how many of you are interested.
All interested please respond to this blog to create a list.
Second:
I just talked with a good customer that wants 3 sets of SOUND ABSORBERS ( Floor under-mats)
I believe we should be able to produce a batch based on the requests I had since the last batch! (The water jet shop needs 15 sets).
Everyone that has been waiting for their set, PLEASE POST A CONFIRMATION in this blog, if you have any questions you can email me at [email protected] or send a pm (private message) from this forum.
Thank you!

Hi Luis,
I don't see the floormat set for my '69 coupe on your website. It looks like the set Eastern Notch is showing a few entries down in this thread. Please send me a PM or e-mail with your price.
The small piece behind the clutch/brake pedal is the bulkhead mat I keep hearing about. Is that correct? Can you make it without the hole for the foot-switch? Here is my crinkled original.
I think I need grey (lava), but I'm not sure. Would it be possible to send me a little scrap of the grey rubber to see if it matches my car? I can't really tell what I have. Mine looks black, but it's original and faded and hard to tell if it was actually grey. Or are the color swatches you show on your site accurate? My car's original color was red (L-554 cherry red), black leatherette seats, and white headliner. So what color mats would it have come with?
Thanks,
Hans _________________ ==========================

Hello Ghía lovers!
It has been slow lately, but in the positive side, I just got a request for 3 sets of under mats (sound absorbers), and I believe we should be able to produce a batch! (The water jet shop needs 15 sets ).
Everyone that has been waiting for their set please post a confirmation in this blog, if you have any questions you can email ma at [email protected] or send a pm (private message) from this forum.
Thank you!
Luis

I too am interested. My VIN is 149040077, with black upholstery. So I believe I need the Lava color mats. Please confirm.
Do you have a cost in mind?
Estimated delivery date?
Do these mats have all the original part numbers, symbols, etc. molded in as well? I haven't see up-close photos, so that's why I'm asking.
Thanks,
Hans |
I just received a set of Lava mats for my 68 & they are great! I'll edit this with pix later so you can take a look. Yes part numbers are molded in
Only thing I wish I had asked Luis was not to put the hole for foot dimmer switch.
Added some pictures to the Ghia parts accessories gallery. I'll get a couple of them installed.
