I'm running two on my 1835. Nothing comes out of them but a tiny bit of air and about a half ounce of light gray-tinted water every hundred miles or so. Nothing goes up and into my motor. The breather is as clean inside as the day it was mounted (2020). We don't have emissions testing where I live.

That's what I do on my Razor as well. Most people forget that on a breather system there are both positive and negative pulses.

Without the rubber valve you get more moist cool outside air getting sucked into the engine. Installing the valve cuts down on that milky, gunk that builds up in the oil fill and oil cap during cooler weather.

Just put the rubber vent on the tube with the slit. It is made to let condensation out.

I don't see a problem with it. Like you said you will get an occasional drip, but I don't think it would be much, unless you have a lot of blowby. You didn't say what type of engine you had, but leaving that tube vented means that that you won't be forcing all of the crankcase pressure into the air cleaner.

I just stuff a piece of Scotch-Brite up the tube and call it a day.

I have a factory oil fill with the 18 mm tube that runs to the bottom of the engine. In stock form there was a rubber check on the bottom to allow oil to drip out while the vapors went to the air cleaner. I was wanting to use the 18 mm tube for the main engine breather. I plan on running 5/8" hose from the bottom of the tube to a 30 micron stainless mesh filter housing to prevent particles from entering. I am assuming that the only problem may be oil dripping from the end of the filter. Anyone have experience with doing this?
