I'm going to be there. I've already pre-registered. I'll be coming in locally so sorry I won't be able to caravan.

I don't understand why they aren't advertising this show more? It's not listed here on this site or in Hot VW's. Neither one would have cost the club a penny. I don't get it. Oh well, the turn out is always pretty good. See ya there, Todd.

i went last year, my first vw show, and i was amazed. so many nice cars. im definetly taking the day off and driving the 5 minutes to the fair grounds. wish i could drive the bug, but its still in pieces so ill be taking the gti.
i think part of the reason they are not advertising it that much this year, is because of the fair construction. its not going to be in the same buildings so it will be a little different.
everyone pray for nice weather. no one wants it to rain(knock on wood)

adios

Hey Mark...hopefully! The people running the show don`t reply to e-mails or send out pre-reg forms so hopefully we`ll get a spot or two!

Gee. NWVWC. I haven't a clue, either. They must not want people to come. The fairgrounds are a mess, I've heard, 'cause of construction. Better not be lame, 'cause they raised the entrance fee from $8 to $10, and swap spaces are $30 instead of $20. I'm sure the Puyallup show will be in the Rants and Raves later today. Octobugfest is the better Puyallup show IMHO - run by different folks. NWVWC is the VW Trends of VW clubs. I'm open to be proven wrong, but that's how it seems to me.

Well, the show was better than I had anticipated. Fortunately the weather cooperated. Consequently, the turnout great. From the standpoint of someone who just went for the swap and to talk to VW buds, it was a success. Deserved kudos to NWVWC for dealing with all the curve balls thrown at them by the fair. I could have done without the price increase at the gate and the $1 donation to park, but it's only a $3 total, so. . .

Boy the swap was small..........
But all in all it was a good turnout and a nice day. Good to meet some new folks and say hi to some old aquaintences.

Swap seemed small. Got a few small things, no great finds. Real good turnout I thought.

I had a great day. Nabbed first in my class (68+ bus) and scored some finds at the swap meet for my '74 Bug project. Woo Hoo! By the way, it was nice to meet the earthmuffins!

Overall, I thought the show was pretty good.

good: great turnout, nice weather, some nice new cars in the show, good show floor, nice job managing all of the curveballs thrown by the new buildings and construction

Bad: parking lot - dirt for a dollar, other slight price increases, the band was hidden, food prices were crazy, the swap seemed way spread out, they only announced the winners names but not which car was theirs, no bikini or wet T-shirt contest or anything of the sort, not enough buses in the show.
