How about considering a Megasquirt FI and Megajolt ignition forum....
Right now its being discussed in several different places in multiple threads ....

It doesn't make sense to create an entire Forum for that but a dedicated thread would be fine. If you are familiar with this product and want to start a thread with details, I am fine with it. |
Did you look lately..... There is at least three threads open right now in Performance - Engines/Transmissions forum...... Consolidation is whats needed....

There's a really good EFI forum over on STF. I'm just not sure there's enough 'traffic' to support it. UAC has one as well, and it's fairly dead as well. _________________ Eric Allred

Dang it. Another forum I have to 'peruse' before work in the morning? I'm going to have to start getting up earlier... _________________ Eric Allred

If Everett made a dedicated forum for every subject that has multiple threads going at once, we'd not have individual threads, but a forum for everything... the search works wonderful for things as specific as megasquirt. _________________

This thread mentioned above:
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=361837
is in the FAQ as a primary thread for discussion of distributorless ignitions.
Like I said above, if it makes sense to have a single thread devoted to this product, go ahead and start one with some introductory information and I will add it to the Performance FAQ as "the" thread to use. Usually if we have a "dedicated" thread, that means we would be locking new threads and directed them to that thread only. From what I can tell, this is not what is best as they are many different questions that can come up that are better left to their own individual discussions. It's better to do a title search on Megasquirt or Mega* before posting and see if your question has been addressed or if your question related to an existing topic that you can add to.
We do not create Forums section for one companies products. We are not that company. Otherwise why not have a Forum section for every company out there. _________________ How to Post Photos

I'd be happy to add any technical topic to the FAQS/Sticky topic.
I'll even make a sub category so they are grouped together.
If you want a new topic added, just send me a PM and it will be reviewed.
Does that help? _________________ Glenn

Sorry for bringing this up again, but I think that an EDIS forum would be useful and popular. Does your phpBB system allow subforums?
Thanks. _________________

This version does not have subforums.

As far as I know no one ever did this so there was no interest... _________________ How to Post Photos
