The driver in the mini van lost control and smacked the panel head on. He had to be cut outta the bus because his leg was pinned but they saved his leg and he is on the mend. The bus is totaled though.

Damn. Glad to hear he is going to be OK. That looks like it could have had a much worse outcome.

This photo shows what happens with those deadly "shoulder belt only" setups. You submarine without a lap belt. Despite this, they were standard for a few years in some countries.

Happened last night in Brazil. A motorcycle crossed the center divider. The drive panicked slammed on the brakes and hit a light pole along the roadside.
That's the driver in the image.

The beetle was 1 of 2000 1995 Brasilin beetles in that color.

The car was sold to a VW enthusiast this morning.
