You would be amazed at how spacious they are on the inside.

bags of room, they have been for-sale in Canada for a couple of years now. Its cool if you buy a red one and then down the road you decide you don't like the colour, you can buy different panel inserts to change the colour/pattern of the car.

3 piston diesel, something like $15 dollars at the pump to fill up and away you go. Our friend who has one, said that you have to drive it like a motorbike, as in pretend nobody sees you. He has been hit in his, and he said he just had a sore neck as he was rear-ended. But the car was fine, and everything else was fine.

If I wanted something with three bolt wheels I'd buy an old Deux Cheveaux.

we've had the smart here i Europe for years. i guess it's a good car if you live in the city, but personally i would never by it. hate the looks. They tested the roadster in top gear, he wasn't very happy with it, especially the gearbox.
the came with a four (five) seater last year called the fourtwo, it looks a little better but its still pretty ugly

I've seen a few around here. I see one pretty consistantly at a Home Depot I frequent (part of my work beat). I can see they could be efficient in an urban area or for short trips. That said, personally, I wouldn't want my wife driving one since her commute involves an I-5 commute from the "country" to the "city" and I've personally seen what accidents can do to the human body.
