yes, the Vintage Speed ones are nice. but also more expensive than the 325Pound version of the original poster.
The owner of Vintage Speed came to Europe and visited several VW meetings.
I met him and saw the products. Nice guy and nice products.
I do not own his products yet, on the wishlist when the time comes. As already stated...if it was cheap we would all have that by now. |

This is the classic car game, shit isn’t cheap!
I own 2 VS exhausts, a VS shifter and a VS deck lid standoff. All excellent products!
Search the classifieds, I see used ones on there all the time. The VS sport I run on my beetle I bought used for $200. _________________ __________

You said stainless steel performance exhaust under $1,000 for a type 4 engine. I assume you mean the whole setup?? Header through muffler, right?
I’d love some feedback on a whole exhaust setup made from SS for under $1k _________________ Keep on Busin'

does this setup to be need to include heat, or is it just a performance system with no heat that looks pretty? Or is it going in a type 4 system that will be raced somewhere so top end flow is paramount? _________________ George Carlin:

The OP seemed very set on stainless steel. If we assume that is for corrosion protection, there are other options.
Sand blast a stock Dansk early T4 bus muffler, and $30 in rattle can "ceramic coat" gets you years of protection. Not everything has to be new and expensive; some things just take a little effort.

I’m not replying to the Original Poster. Waiting for this person to answer a question. And others that have a full stainless steel “performance” exhaust setup for a type 4 engine under $1000

That's assuming one can persuade Danskpart exhaust-system components to align correctly!?!
Those Vintage Speed exhaust-system components are horrendously expensive! I suspect they are being marketed to rich Americans rather than we British of modest incomes; although with Donald Trumpian trade tariffs in force, they will become even more expensive in the USA!

However, if the quoted prices were in Taiwanese dollars rather than US dollars, those prices might not be so bad after all!

Currently, 1 New Taiwanese dollar = 0•024 British pounds
