That’s the beauty of this scene, most people use the word incorrectly, they made fun of that fact and people think it’s funny and never understand that the audience is being made fun of. Which leads me to the word irony, it correctly describes this situation.
I know I’m a word nerd and a douche for pointing it out but at my age I don’t care. _________________ Looking for anything from Hal Casey Motors out of Hamburg New York, from license plate surrounds to matchbooks.

This is an interesting case. The bus looks really nice, although the price is a bit on the optimistic side; at $225k you're solidly into Barndoor deluxe territory. For all of the gushing "OMG this bus is so perfect!" prose there's a lot of little "missed it by that much!" details, that wouldn't be difficult to fix, but at this price point, you shouldn't have to - for this money the bus should be giving you a handy while you drive it home. The most annoying thing though, is you really can't see the bus without all of the reflections of the guy's other toys getting in the way. It feels like he's not really trying to sell the bus, but rather show off all of his other possessions.

"I did spy these modern bolts"
Can you trust a seller of a bus at that price level who doesn't know that DORN is a legit bolt there? _________________ Craig K

Haha. The DORN bolts are legit, but the finish isn't, and the washers below them are wrong. So one right, two wrong.
Overall, the bus looks really good. A quick review of the photos, and I could only see about a dozen or so wrong things with it, which is a relatively low number. I am sure in person, I could double that number of incorrect things. _________________ .

I can't imagine the stress. Let alone the angst when some off-the-street loser like me walks by and tosses off 'that washer is wrong.'
It does look nice, is no doubt nearly as correct as you can make one (tho at thaet $$ why isn't it perfection) and I would happily own it. And get yelled at when I drove it to the store and got it dirty, Im sure. _________________ Craig K

Someone should buy this and take it to SST. Watch everyone soil their britches. _________________ Looking for anything from Hal Casey Motors out of Hamburg New York, from license plate surrounds to matchbooks.

Typo? 'Loaded bug rims?'
As EB sez, maybe bug rims "loaded" with bus tires. _________________ Craig K

I can't recall the last time I saw a rim without some amount of weight on it to balance it so I'm not sure the presence of a wheel weight indicates how straight a wheel is. I've watched Firestone techs mounting and balancing IndyCar tires and they use weights to balance and no way was it because a wheel wasn't straight.
Also those wheels appear to be Thing. |
