Yep, I'm responsible for building this...Chris Clark's idea, my reality..Happened to have the required parts to attempt this, so I did..Will be built by and driven to the Classic this year...Here's some build pics..
I know some people will be all butthurt I cut this singlecab and panel to do this, but believe me when I say the truck was far gone..Notice the rear end..NARROW..That's because somebody decided they were gonna attempt a V8 w/ a 9' rear end..A lot of sheet metal helped save some other busses..The entire undercarriage all the way to the beam was hacked out..The panel was in decent shape, and that is why I used it as the foundation...

This project is very cool. I guess the bustruck is the same lenght so what are you going to use for gates? Did you just cut the single cab gates in half and they fit? Can`t wait to see it finished great job. Keep the pictures coming. |

Hey Kev,
Did those gates come off the SC i saw earlier in the thread? What year was that SC, and do you know if the gates were og to the year?
The reason i'm asking is, in the split bus forum the question has come up about the punched holes in the rear gates.
Sick f-ing dove by-the-way!! |

Nice Kevin! Gonna look super sweet with all the panels on it! This is the sweetest custom bus I have seen in years.. True custom, not just bolt on stuff like we usually do.. This is gonna be a crowd pleaser! _________________ "Building the shit out of vw's" Lifer. |
