I just saw this setup and wondered if it would be a good solution for cases that are not drilled for full flow.

Looks like it remove the spring and piston, so how does that effect the stock oil cooler bypass?

I think you're better off with and in/out oil pump.

It looks like there is a spring and piston in the picture - lower left corner.
How would the oil flow past the piston? This is confusing.

The hopped up 1600 in my 1960 bug uses that method and it runs great. Oil pressure & temps are spot on
