The engine # is 1803738 which is a Mar 1957 dont know why they changed engines 2 years after it was built so if any one wants a 1957 matching engine for there Bus let me know. Nice score, looks pretty solid and the dents look like they can be popped back out.
The blue paint looks pretty strong too. Are there two shades of blue?

the 57 engine might not have been fitted in 57, it might have been fitted in 1984 but was the nearest they could find. That blue paint looks very nice, how's the paint on the dash?

To remove the White on the roof i used Easy Off in the Sun, it turned the White to Yellow and then i scraped it off. Any white left on i used 00,000 Steel Wool and scrubbed it off. The Body is a differnt story doesnt seem to be wokin as well. Its rainin so will have to wait til next week in the Blazin Sun to work the side Panels.

theres a few areas that are missing some paint but i think that just adds to the character of a 1955 Bus..probably went through about 20 bottles of Oven Cleaner and 5 boxes of Steel Wool, but its a cheaper paint job and original..Smile

Beautiful. What a transformation! To think someone thought by painting it, they were making it look "better."
