|
Well, after over 20+ years of been a type 3 collector, I have finished my dream car. As this was my first car back in 1983,
I had always wanted a perfect sunroof squareback. I have showed a lot of pics lately, but nothing like a before and after. This project came about thanks to my family and to several type 3 specialists out there. Martin is done buying parts, so all you type 3 people out there , it is safe to go out there again.
Here we go..
Thanks to:
Michael Johnson Dutchboy
Bernie Avila AB restorations
Anthony & Alex ISPWest
Glenn
Mario Steinhauser
Willem B
Russ Wolfe
Julio's Upholstery
David Mountainbug
and Bert Thanks for all the hookups with rare and obscure type 3 parts. _________________ I'd be UNSTOPPABLE if not for Law Enforcement and PHYSICS.
I recycle old cars and parts, other than when I rot, that's as Green as I am going to get.
Thanks to my Tesla driving neighbors, I feel more relaxed driving my SUBURBAN and old VW's.
Everything sounds good on paper!

Awesome job Martin. That is my dream Squareback as well. I'm sure I'll be looking towards yours as an inspiration whenever I get my hands on a Ruby Red Sunroof. Beautiful job! _________________ 1963 Notchback - Ruby Red

Very very nice! Right after my 67 square was totalled in Seattle, I saw yours for sale in the classified here on the Samba. I was goona buy it... I was just waiting for insurance money to come in when you decided to keep the car and restore it instead. I cant wait to see it in person. _________________ Jim in Sacto -

Hey...I never saw a rear bumper or hubcaps, either!
Other than that... when are you delivering it, Martin? _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

I never thought I'd see this sentence!
Congratulations on an absolutely beautiful car! You show a true dedication to your goal and a perseverance that is now rare in humanity.
Amazing car, dude...
...one question: What the hell are you going to do with all of your free time? |
