I "think" so, but look at your rearmost yellow vinyl mattress. In that rear left corner, if there is a cut-out in the mattress for the "condom cabinet", then your Campmobile used to have one. My '67 has it...

Mine did not come with the corner cabinet when I acquired it and I don't recall the mattress having a cut out either, but you never know when someone has redone the mattress to conform to the already missing cabinet. I also don't recall any mounting holes for a corner cabinet, but I'll have to check when I get back home. _________________ '73 Westy

Look to see if you have screw holes for "A" and the "bolt" hole for "C". My SO44s of course were both non walk-throughs and both did have the corner cabinet. If you have the holes, it would be safe to say it used to have the cabinet. Are you sure you have a 42 instead of a 44?

I should have bought your SO44. Thanks for bringing that up... _________________ Your Vanagon sucks, Stop waving at me.

It looks just like the close out panel on the other side behind the closet, just mirrored.

Yes...sort of. I do need the corner cabinet, but I also need the close out panel that is labelled "A" in the diagram above.
They pop up from time to time in the classifieds. It's the mirror image of the passenger side. |

You can cut that "close out" panel from a scrap of laminate. Someone here can surely make a paper template for you of their "close out" panel, either left or right.

Does anyone have a picture of the inside of the corner cabinet once the cabinet door is open? I’m curious if the side Baltic birch panel went all the way behind the corner cabinet into the rear corner or does the birch panel just meet up with the closet and it is bare metal inside the closet. _________________ '73 Westy

There is metal visible when you open the corner cabinet.
If there was a panel covering that space the shelf would not fit. There is not much space between the shelf and the outer skin of the bus.
From the gallery, I searched for “corner cabinet”:
