I restored and repainted it back to OG Diamond Blue...It was in really bad shape wihen I got her 3 months ago. Terrible yellow over paint, rusted floor boards, rust in the side panels, destroyed interior. Now it's finally done. Did everything myself, it's a good feeling bringing back a VW to stock.
What do you think?

Is your rear window settled down correctly? Looks kinda "high". |

| Now that I look at it I kind of like it lol. Mine is also 1969 Diamond Blue but I have already sanded it down and getting it ready for a different paint job. |

Very nice! My '70 was originally Diamond Blue. I used to have a '68 Cougar that was also listed as Diamond Blue in the Mercury paint code book. _________________ Two wrongs don't make a right...

You did a super job.
Like the color.
Roof rack...go to the hardware store and get some clear plastic tube to put over the part the sits in the drip rail and get rid of the blue tape.
Any pictures of the engine? _________________ Volkswagen: We tune what we drive.

Clear plastic tubing...

Plastic tubing. I always overthink stuff. _________________ Beer_

A beautiful job!
Love the lowback seats in it!
Never been a fan of stock roof racks on a late model!
Second the clear tubing!
Rear windshield looks great!
We need before shots!
Edit: Would you mind polishing those fingerprints off the tops of your bumpers, please? They're spoiling my view! Thanks. _________________ -Tim
