If you want to do a complete job you would need for each side the following parts. 1). Outer scraper. 2). Inner scraper 3). Large felt channel for the door and 4) felt channel for the division bar. Don't throw away your old clips from the inner scrapers. They may fit better than the new ones.

If you include the vent window in this job, there is a vent window seal and a rubber flap. Then there is the door seal itself.

I bought all my parts from WW and was pleased with their quality. Be aware that to do the complete job will require some time and patience. I found the vent window seal to be the toughest part of this job.

And if you do the vent window seal, you need to remove/replace the rivit and fiber washer on the upper hinge to be able to get the frame out and the seal in.

Here's what I bought and the stuff is good. However, if you want German door seals in the kit, you'll need to specify and it will cost an extra $ 65.00.

Oh, and it will take some time to install. Laughing

thanks for the links and info. however im going to need to cut back on some of that stuff. my door seals will last me another season. My main worry is the door windows. vent windows will have to wait. Ive kind of narrowed it down to felt channels and inner and outer scrapers for now. thanks again guys

Doors ALWAYS leak.

VW designed them that way.

Early on a wax paper and later plastic sheet was used as a kind of shower curtain to keep the water away from the door panels and into the bottom of the door where it dripped out the drain holes.
