"Look for the Westies"
I've talked to the Marymoor Park people and we've been directed to use again Parking Lot I (right off Marymoor Way by the Velodrome), see the park map at the following link http://your.kingcounty.gov/dnrp/library/parks-and-...web_09.pdf
This is the same parking lot as last year. Parking lot I is by a big/flat paved Recreation/Event Area and also close to the velodrome, so bring also bikes/rollers/skates/etc to have some fun! Also, in case you don't know, parking costs $1 in the park.
Why/What ?
Brave the elements and come out to Marymoor Park for a Westy Show and Tell Meetup. This is one week just after Thanksgiving and just before the holiday madness begins, so may be your last chance for a while to talk about Westy projects and adventures. The idea for this one is to tell the group a little about your van and perhaps some of the best mods or projects that you have made. Consider bringing some comfort food (chiili, soup, etc) to help you stay warm while we meet.
Background
This is the third time we’re having this event. In 2011 we had 50 vans, and in 2012 we had 61 vans showing up (the attendance went to the roof even though th weather didn’t cooperate). Everybody had a truly great time.

I don't think we'll reach last year's numbers (that was something crazy/unique) but hopefully we will still have a good representation.

Is there a reason that these meet ups are in Dec? Weather is always going to be crappy for outdoor events.
I'm bringing my GL or maybe my syncro if it ever gets put together in time. |

I will make it - with my new frankenmotor as long as the snow base at Stevens is still minimal. Deep pow is always the variable during the winter months!

| As a new owner of a westfalia in seattle, i'd love to make it out & meet some of you. Alas i will be down in the bay area that weekend. At some point though i'd enjoy connecting with some of you. |

Well, they did win. My wife, the avid Seahawks fan, was distraught and turned it off. She was very happy to see they won.
