Trying to figure out a header for my scooter.
I don't have any place to put a normal merged header.
I am thinking anything will be of a better tune than my current 4 straights.

Not much area to cross over with pipes.
If I could get one pipe around the flywheel end and one around the pulley end I am think of a split header-ish contraption.
Joining 2 and 4 into a merge.
Joining 1 and 3 into a merge.

Sort of half Tri Y
Yes I do know it ain't ideal.
But i am thinking it may be better than unequal length open primaries.

Here is an old pic so you can see the area I have to work with.
The straights have serves me well for the past couple decades.
But I am looking for a better tuned exhaust to go with my mega squirt fuel injection I am setting up now.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes something along those lines. But two seperates.
Thinking if I go 180 from each other I can get half a tune.
I can't go under engine. My oil plug is 3-1/2" off the ground.

looks great, paring #1&3 and 4&2 may of worked a little better....but ...that all depends on oh soomany things, like driving style, engine size, rpm range, camshaft etc. very nice work. Ive been thinken on a over the top of the tranie exhaust like the mid mounted buggys use,and doubble walling the exhaust after the merge for heat to the car.....well in my head anyway. as for the scooter I would pair 1&3 THEN 2&4 into that. with free flowing muff. or 1&3 with muff&2&4 with muff onthe other side.or duel it.

She now races oval dirt track.
Getting pretty good at driving sideways.

Here she is getting scaled out before the big race.

What's the history of that little taildragger in the background?

Did that come from an amusement park ride or something?

Yep.
It is pretty tough.
The 2110 I always estimated at 160hp. That may be a little generous with the open primaries I have always had.
It handily performs with a 100 hp crotch rocket that weighs almost 200 lbs less.
It is going back a 2286. 86 x thick92.
I had been fishing for cam suggestions. About decided on a fk10.
With the lack of a true header I am thinking I can not handle a duration over 270.

The plane is a Pitts special.
A real bi-plane kit "experimental" plane.
Gonna use it for a sign.

Cool, I suspected it was a real plane, but MAN it's short (as were Pitts'). It almost looks like the gear have been moved back. If I recall, Pitts take some skill not to ground loop!
