Does anyone make or have the three small boots used with the clips to mount the chrome trim on the glove box ?
They look just like the boots used to mount the body side trim, only smaller. _________________ The problem with reality is that there's no background music !

I dont remember ever using rubber boots for the dash trim..The clips just go through the holes. _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone 1914. Ex wifes car.

The most likely place to have them is Wolfsburg West, and they dont. So, not sure where you will find them. You don't need them. _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone 1914. Ex wifes car.

Originally the dash trim had grommets.
Sometimes the trim will rattle without them.

the rubber seals also keep cold air from blowing thru the trunk to the cabin thru the trim holes. so noise, cold air,are reasons the factory used them My 61 had them stock.

Solved the problem back in the day, in 2 ways: prevent drafts by making sure the hood seal is properly fitted; and adjust the wings on the trim clips to make them grip tighter. (You may have to damage them, and the trim, to get them off again, but ...no rattles.) _________________ "If you can't fix it with pop rivets, crazy glue and duct tape, or hold it together with zip ties, velcro or magnets, it REALLY is broken." |

Thanks for finding these! I'm stocking up to replace the ones I've pieced together from various swap meet finds. _________________
