I had my bus used in the making of a commercial for the super bowl contest. It was a fun time staging a bunch of shots of the bus and the actor. These guys came out from California to do the work in Az. and I was just a guy with a orange bus that was available for the day. Very Happy

The shorts? Shit... I used to wear tube socks like that when I was a kid. Boogie!

Nice work getting your bus on film. If you are given a copy of the commercial in the future, I'm sure we'd all love to see it!

The shorts, tube socks, and addidas are totally vintage for a Bay, not to mention the hair!

That's very exciting. So now I'll have two things to watch for on game day. Your bus and the San Diego Chargers...not

I only know a small amount of details of the script, it is set in a vintage 70's style with the bus breaking down on the way to the game. There is a family including that long hair and they bump start the bus and there is a cop and vintage bags of Doritos and that puddle shot and that is all I know mostly. Laughing I asked the actor about his socks and he said they are his friends that let him use them haha. These guys are bus people, they have buses too and only needed me because their orange bus really did break down lol.

That's funny. Timing is everything.....

I have a Winnebago LeSharo that I had listed for sale on CL. It's a parts rig. I got a call to use it in a "Breaking Bad " parody video. It's called Meth Shack. You can barely see my '81 Westfalia in the background, that now lives in Europe.

Back in High School, in the early to mid seventies, push starting your Vdub bus was not that uncommon. I was late to school many times......

Never wore those sox....or cutoffs, for that matter. Wasnt cool at the beach, man....

Peace Very Happy

No, no, no... he's not pushing the bus. He's getting ready to throw up all those Peyote buttons he chewed up ten miles back.

here is a link to the completed commercial:
https://crashthesuperbowl.doritos.com/gallery/-created/0/3504?q=throwback

official voting is not till january, but from this pool will be chosen the 3 finalists for the super bowl commercial.
maybe thesamba can get some buzz going for these guys!
tell your friends, tell your wives, tell your wife's friends to rate the commercial 5 stars and, of course share on your social media of choice.

let's make this happen!

So did corporate Doritos find another bus rather than the OP (Red)? The script and bus are completely different, none the less watched the commercial a few times already.
